stationery goodies.

I wanted to share my great buys with you while I was in Paris!
I got a bunch of the "crazy envelopes". I bought four of them in singles, as I did not know how well they would mail so I wanted to try them first before buying whole packages of them. I did buy a whole pack of the ones in the bottom left corner. I loved the way the flap looked, and how great will those look with the wax seal to close it. swoon! I also picked up a pack of paper tape that looked like kraft paper.

The metal sign at the top translates to mailbox! I thought that would look great hanging in my house. I didn't get that at the paper store though, I picked that up at another store BHV.

A close up of the wax seal stamp I bought. It looks like a postage stamp with the eiffel tower and Paris on it! I also bought a pack of three colored waxes. Black, Dark Green and Light Green. I can not wait to put these to great use!

received with love. birthday edition.

Yesterday was my birthday, so I took a small break and enjoyed the special day!

I received some great letter writing themed gifts this year for my birthday and thought I would share some of them with you guys!
My friend Joe got me this great wax seal stamp of the State of VA and 10 beautiful colored waxes! I can not wait to send my next batch of letters out!
A close up of the wax seal stamp.

These gifts were from my mom. Look at that Paper!!! They were so pretty I didn't want to open them. One of the gifts my mom got me was an envelope template kit and envelope liner template kit! Since I loved this wrapping paper so much, I have already started making envelope liners with my new kit using this great paper!

l'ecritoire.

I went to the best stationery store while in Paris last week! I found L'Ecritoire by accident last time I was in Paris, and just knew I had to go back when I was there this time.
Front entrance to the shop.

Tons of calligraphy pens, inks and "crazy envelopes". Some of the "crazy envelopes" hanging in the store that they have received! They all have unique folds. You can buy them in singles or in packs. Includes the notecard and envelope!

A huge selection of wax seal stampers and colored waxes.

Great selection of Paris stickers, eiffel tower stickers, cat stickers, labels and more.

Good view of the shop.

My mom snapped this one of me while doing some shopping!

If you are ever in Paris and want to get some great stationery finds definitely stop by:
L'Ecritoire
61 Rue saint-martin, 75004 Paris, France

p.s. I will show you pictures of my great buys in tomorrows post.

porte-clés. pins.

While my mom and I were in Paris we went to the Saint-Ouen Flea Market. What a great place! We came across this great vintage pin booth and they had pins of all kinds! We spent forever looking through all the pins in a ton of different categories.

We were most excited about the postal category!

Above are the two pins that I bought for myself. A french mailbox with mailbag and an awesome calligraphy pen! And the even better part, each pin is only 1 euro each!

If you are in Paris and want to get your hands on some awesome vintage pins, check out porte-clés pins. Stand 81, Allée 4 at the Saint-Ouen Flea Market

la postale.

There were so many great vintage stamp stores in Paris! Near our hotel was a little indoor alleyway that had a ton of them! They sold packs of vintage stamps from all over the world, new stamps, postcards, etc.
p.s. This was a window display from one of the stores.

received with love.

I got a great package in the mail the other day from one of my dear penpals Tiffany!

She mailed me some delicious caramels and chocolates from clever turnip in Colorado!

p.s. Their packaging was beautiful too!
