Take ORF Postcards

The other night I picked up my husband from the airport and wanted to get a picture in front of the new LOVE sign they had in the baggage claim. (They have these LOVE signs all over the state of Virginia so if you ever find yourself in Virginia and want to find one of the signs, you can view the map of all their locations.)

They have a sign next to the giant LOVE sign advertising "Snap and Share your Love" along with 5 plastic holders holding "Sending Love" postcards for you to take.

This is the second postcard design that I have seen available now at the airport. I just love this idea so much. Grab a postcard and send a little love while you are waiting for a flight or picking someone up. I of course, grabbed a handful so I can mail them out to friends and family!

The above, is the spring postcard in the series of "Sending Love" postcards available at Norfolk International Airport in Virginia. After doing a little research online, I found out this is the third postcard so far. They have had a Fall (I also have a handful of those), Winter and now Spring! I think they are very well designed and I look forward to hopefully seeing more designs available in the future!

sent with love.

While on one of the brewery stops for #pedaltothepubs2015 I took a minute to write my postcards out! I love these bright colored Florida postcards.

Dropping my postcards off in the letter drop box!

bethlehem, pa.

I visited Bethlehem, PA on a work trip last week and made sure to make a visit by one of their post offices. I stopped in to see if they offered their special wise men postmark all year long, but sadly they do not! They only offer their special postmark during the Christmas Holiday. It was still nice to visit a new Post Office and drop off a few postcards I picked up while working.

This is the Post Office right before a big snow storm came through town.

A few postcards from Lehigh University that I picked up to mail.

gotham west market postcard wall.

My dear penpal Dawn mailed me this lovely photograph she took at the Gotham West Market in NYC!

If you have any plans to visit NYC in the future make sure to stop by the Gotham West Market to grab a delicious bite to eat from one of their eight vendors:
• Blue Bottel Coffee
• The Cannibal
• El Colmado
• Genuine Roadside
• Court Street Grocers Sandwich Shop
• Ivan Ramen Slurp Shop
• Choza Taqueria
and then stop by the postcard wall on your way out to drop a friend/family member a quick little note to say hello from NYC!

I absolutely love this concept and applaud Gotham West Market for having this! I don't ever need a reason to visit one of my favorite cities in the world, but this sure has made me want to make a trip up north a little sooner!

If any of you make a trip to NYC and get a change to go by and send a postcard I would love to hear all about it in the comments below!

postcrossing.

I am very excited to be a new member of Postcrossing!
Image from: postcrossing.com
The goal of the postcrossing project is to allow people to receive postcards from all over the world, for free. Well, almost free! the main motto is: Send a postcard and receive a postcard back from a random person in the world!

How it works: (The Short Version)
• Request an address from the website
• Mail the postcard to the address
• Wait to receive a postcard
• Register the received postcard in the system

You can have up to 5 postcards traveling at any single time. Every time one of the postcards you send is registered, you can request another address.

I sent out my first 5 postcards this week to places all over the world! Germany, Taiwan, Finland, Russia and China!
My first three sent last week! I used vintage postcards from my mamas collection!
Two more that I mailed out this week! I used more postcards from my mamas collection!
I like being able to use some of my mamas old stamps too!
