westmeyer baby shower.

I have been designing a lot of invitations lately for various events coming up in my friends lives and I wanted to share them all with you as they are created and sent out! Who doesn't love receiving a beautiful invitation in the mail!

These baby sprinkle invites were inspired by some adorable whale fabric that I picked up at Joann Fabrics. These invitations are for my best friend of nearly 25 years and I am so excited to be throwing her a baby sprinkle to welcome her second son into the world!

valentine's cookies.

My mom and I never need a reason to bake, but Valentine's Day is the perfect reason to get in the kitchen and bake our hearts out!

We loved how the mailboxes and postage stamp cookies with the hearts turned out! We can't wait to make more like this next year too.

I even bagged a few up and gave them to my mailman for Valentine's Day! I hope he enjoyed the special sweet treat!

stamps: cut paper heart

Image from: uspsstamps.com

The Cut Paper Heart stamp adds another romantic entry to the beautiful Love stamp series.

This fanciful stamp takes its inspiration from the folk traditions of papercutting. The stamp art is reminiscent of liebesbriefe - ornately cut and painted love letters that are a form of scherenschnitte, the papercutting tradition brought to America in the 18th and 19th centuries by German immigrants. Not intended only for February 14, these early precursors to valentines carried declarations of love and sometimes proposals of marriage. The stamp art is a stunning digital interpretation of these traditional love-letter decorations.

Like the liebesbriege, the Cut Paper Heart stamps are not just for use on Valentine's Day, but say "love" all year round.

Designed by art director Antonio Alcalá, the stamp features an illustration by Q. Cassetti.

The Cut Paper Heart stamps is being issued as a Forever® stamp.
